EMS Assembly - Flight Squad Basketball

There is an assembly for EMS students on Wednesday, November 2nd at 10:00am in the East Middle School Gym. There is limited seating for any parent/guardian that would like to attend. If you plan on attending, please enter through the Main Office on the 6th street side of the building. The assembly is a 50 minute, youth centered performance “where students will learn the importance of respect for self and others, prioritizing education and study, and not being a bully.”

 

Wildcat Wednesday - Leadership

Titan Trophy WW Volleyball

For the Wildcat Wednesday assembly, the topic of achievement was discussed and what are the most important paths to success. Students played 4 square volleyball, and divided by teams - All Stars, Champions, Titans. Pictured is the Titan team leader Mrs. Cherie Brigman Hampl with the team trophy.

The 8th grade went to Washington Pre-K to bring blankets that they made as a human resource project to become a Honor Council at the Leadership Conference in November. The students enjoyed seeing the children choose their blanket. The students have stated that they would be excited to do more activities with the students at Washington Pre-K.

Safer Streets Around East Middle School

East Middle School FCCLA members Nicole Combest and Addison Diedrich recently gave a presentation to City of Ponca City administrators advocating for safer streets around East Middle School. The members asked the City to consider making all four streets surrounding East a school zone and add signage with the posted speed limit that could be seen from all directions. The group also discussed possible solutions to the congestion that happens during drop-off and pick-up times.
