Google Slam Night is where we welcome families, friends and the community to come see what our students have learned.  Student presenters will demonstrate many different programs and devices that they have learned to use this year at East.  It is from 6-7p.m. Tuesday, March 7. 

 

 

Wildcat Wednesday - Leadership

Titan Trophy WW Volleyball

For the Wildcat Wednesday assembly, the topic of achievement was discussed and what are the most important paths to success. Students played 4 square volleyball, and divided by teams - All Stars, Champions, Titans. Pictured is the Titan team leader Mrs. Cherie Brigman Hampl with the team trophy.

The 8th grade went to Washington Pre-K to bring blankets that they made as a human resource project to become a Honor Council at the Leadership Conference in November. The students enjoyed seeing the children choose their blanket. The students have stated that they would be excited to do more activities with the students at Washington Pre-K.

Safer Streets Around East Middle School

East Middle School FCCLA members Nicole Combest and Addison Diedrich recently gave a presentation to City of Ponca City administrators advocating for safer streets around East Middle School. The members asked the City to consider making all four streets surrounding East a school zone and add signage with the posted speed limit that could be seen from all directions. The group also discussed possible solutions to the congestion that happens during drop-off and pick-up times.
